PUMPKIN PAGEANT
2009
The Flora Police Dept. had a PUMPKIN PAGEANT which started October 1 and ran
through October 23rd. To have entered a decorated pumpkin for the pageant, you
had be a 5th grader or younger and you had to live in Clay County. Pumpkins had
to be decorated with pipe cleaners, yarn, markers, crayons, leaves, anything that
you can think of and brought to the Flora Police Department. All pumpkins were
on display in front of the police department for all to see. Judging was done by 3
law enforcement officials on October 24th and winners were announced in the
paper.
